i don't think those articles are talking about constant dollars. to add money from a time when dollars had more purchasing power to our dollars now, is kinda miss leading. though the baby boomer problem is something to not take likely. in the past we would just open the boarders and new social security payers would miraculously appear. now, with the mass exodus of illegals and the public opinion against educated legal immigrants, i don't believe we can keep social security at its current levels, both payee and payer may have to tighten their belts..
