It is a great idea of Occupy wants to continue to alienate people.
Seriously, why fuck with the Olympics?
Who said they should fuk with them? The whole world ( practically ) will be in attendance ( represented ) and watching over TV coverage. It would be a good venue for public outreach and education.
That is not why someone watches the Olympics though. I think most people would view it more as an annoying interruption rather than an educational outreach.
I think they ( TV audience ) might find it quite enlightening if some of the athletes had their own leaning towards health prosperity and justice for all. Considering that these individuals will be attending from all over they also represent all major areas in the world experiencing the same problems. If support for Occupy & 99% shows up there and is supported it might open a few more eye's to the truth.
From what I've heard security is going to be ridiculously tight for miles around, so unfortunately nobody that even remotely looks like a protester will probably be allowed in. Certainly not a group.
Displaying protest/solidarity is not unusual at the Olympics.
We don't need a bunch of people with signs.
We just want people talking openly.
Oh yeah, I'm definitely all for the idea. Just making a comment about security, not trying to discourage anyone.

LL & Ann Coulter ? Somehow I just don't see that. Hell I think most of us are waiting for her to make a 1st showing. We're not holding our breath or anything ( would die from lack of oxygen ). So far she has been much less than impressive.
