Awwwwww how brave of him. To "force" his own arrest for doing something so sacrificial and brave and scary as holding a sign on some steps that he KNEW was against the law. Yeah. Wow.

Why isn't he sleeping on the ground in New York? Or DC? Why is he still collecting his enormous (and tenured) salary from a university that robs students blind just to be able to sit in his presence and be enlightened by his gift?

Poverty is not the greatest violence of all. IGNORANCE is. And men like Cornel West are hell bent on making sure that their students only know as much as they need to in order to be effectual soldiers in their 40+ year cause.

"Washington, DC: The October2011.org Movement that is occupying Freedom Plaza, led an impromptu march of 250 people up Pennsylvania Avenue to the U.S.Supreme Court where Dr. Cornel West climbed on the steps of the Supreme Court and denounced court decisions that have produced money-based elections that empower corporations. Dr. West was holding a sign that said "Poverty is the Greatest Violence of All." He was arrested because holding political signs on the Supreme Court steps is illegal."
