“The U.S. dollar has probably been the closest thing to a true global currency that the world has ever seen. For decades, the use of the U.S. dollar has been absolutely dominant in international trade. This has had tremendous benefits for the U.S. financial system and for U.S. consumers, and it has given the U.S. government tremendous power and influence around the globe. Today, more than 60 percent of all foreign currency reserves in the world are in U.S. dollars. But there are big changes on the horizon. The mainstream media in the United States has been strangely silent about this, but some of the biggest economies on earth have been making agreements with each other to move away from using the U.S. dollar in international trade. There are also some oil producing nations which have begun selling oil in currencies other than the U.S. dollar, which is a major threat to the petrodollar system which has been in place for nearly four decades. And big international institutions such as the UN and the IMF have even been issuing official reports about the need to move away form the U.S. dollar and toward a new global reserve currency. So the reign of the U.S. dollar as the world reserve currency is definitely being threatened, and the coming shift in international trade is going to have massive implications for the U.S. economy…”

Such an unbiased source.

Do you think they might be overstating a few things?

What else would expect from a place called economic collapse.

For real, who should be concerned over what is happening at the beck and call of the UN and IMF when there are people with guns that need to be gotten under control.

The Fed, UN, IMF and even China know what they are doing and those controlling DC will handle all of this just fine without anyone in America needing to concern themselves one bit about the soundness of their Federal Reserve Notes.

It's the stuff of conspiracy theory.

What do you care?

You think we haven't had a government since 1933.

Like you were around then.

If you don't like the money we have? Please send all you have to ....

Of course, no world powers have been conspiring for many years to detach the USD from the ONLY thing which gives it any value in the world market as well as stabilizing it on our own shores, the price of a barrel of oil!

Even though it's happening right before your eyes, no two persons or entities are conspiring to make it happen!

Of course you have had government all along and it serves you well!

You only LIVE on this forum, during all your waking hours, not because you are a lifeless internet addict, neglecting your alleged dying spouse while being a bit miffed with what is taking place in DC's government, but, to let people know as long as they vote "D", the few rough edges will be smoothed out and maybe this nation will be blessed enough to find itself under outright communist rule.

You're a very presumptive and assumptive poster.

I hope you don't run your life that way.

You're starting to sound like Glenn Beck.

I hope he's not your hero.

Zero Presumption is required to know for a fact you are addict with no life off the net, or this forum. You are a perfect example of a weak human.

OIC You must be one of those lizard people.

Just another presumptive post from you.

While you deny being presumptive.

I watched a portion of it a month ago with the intention of watching the rest later but never got to it. I shall now...thanks for the reminder!

So what, exactly, are those "massive implications for the U.S. economy?"

[-] -1 points by VantagePoint250624 (-51) 8 years ago

There simply are not any that will affect Americans. We have too many Federal Reserve Notes backed by arrogance to ever be subverted by anyone or any nation outside our own borders.
