A memo has leaked for a lobbyist plan to raise money and throttle OWS. It lays out strategy and tactics for Wall Street to triumph over the threat that this movement presents.
One memo is visible. How many more are not? How many more plans are proceeding? We shall see....
As an American citizen, I am of French ancestry. Two of my distant relatives from the past guarded deposed Queen Marie Antoinette of France before her execution on the guillotine. The Old Regime in France was just as arrogant, just as clueless and - ulltimately - just as rotten as the present American government. The French royalists and nobility never doubted they could crush what they called the rabble on the streets of Paris, the unwashed disgusting peasants. In fact, they sounded much like Mayor Bloomersberg (misspelling is intentional) complaining about the imaginary filth in Liberty Square (now Liberty in Chains Square). However, fate will overcome Bloomersberg just as it did the King and Queen and thousands of members of the nobility. The demands of history, justice and the Freedom of Man will not be denied.
A few months ago, I would have despaired that you could be correct. With the emergence of OWS, I have new hope. However, the backlash is powerful and well funded. Progress will not be fast or easy.
Thank heavens that someone outed this anti-OWS plan, even if it is just one of (doubtless) many.
