The Truth Of It All - New Forum of Dialogue
Posted 12 years ago on Dec. 11, 2011, 11:45 a.m. EST by anonymous
The Truth Of It All is a new forum dedicated to the open, constructive discussion of bills, regulations, and U.S. agencies as they travel through the mechanisms for their consideration. Because one of the many goals of Occupy Wall Street is a free and open dialogue, all people are encouraged to participate in the discussions here.
It is important to remember that the forum has no particular political leaning on its own, and exists to provide a platform for discussion entirely independent of the parties system which has brought the people's country to ruin.
Occupiers participating are reminded that the rules on this forum are to be followed. Open debate is critical to our movement. Rules 1, 3, and 5 are to be especially followed at all times.
The National Defense Authorization Act: I'd like to comment: Once again: Freedom my ass. Bureaucrats and their judge appointments are forging a new constitution, to protect us from justice.
Note to self: New Forum of Dialogue
The NDAA is a terrifying assault on our constitutional right to due process. If the public was properly informed about this, it would create a national uproar.
The legislation would deny suspected terrorists, even U.S. citizens seized within the nation's borders, the right to trial and subject them to indefinite detention.
If Obama does not veto this, our military will legally be allowed to arrest any American citizen, WITHOUT CHARGE, and detain them INDEFINITELY.
Our constitutional right to due process goes to the very heart of everything this country stands for.
Please do all you can to spread the word about this. Once we lose these rights, we will never get them back.

In my humble opinion I think this is a great idea, and thanks for the work put into it
See the discussion with the moderators at http://thetruthofitall.com/smf/index.php?topic=55.0 . Not a big problem for me as I tend to lean conservative anyway. Also take a look at http://www.themultitude.org .
Is this new forum supported by OWS? Is it's moderators OWS members? Why is a new forum being promoted by occupywallst.org?
I just don't see why this is necessary.
Because passing laws is more effective than holding signs.
Looks like a pretty nice site, though the number of people posting is very low at present. I'm also a bit dismayed that the moderators have a professed conservative leaning. See the discussion with the moderators at http://thetruthofitall.com/smf/index.php?topic=55.0

but what of life saved by information
fantastic move. glad to see it.
This is what I wanted to see all along. This is how you can change the few corrupt corporations and the government supporting them.
Always remember that decisions taken by Wall Street affect everyone. A decision taken by a Wall Street banking executive might gain him $1000 in bonus. That decision might ruin 10s of thousands of people totally in another country. remember that these guys can earn over 100 million each in bonuses over just one year. A bonus of 100 million affects nearly every non American. There are plenty of Wall Street banking execs getting these bonuses.
As an example, I overheard one young man from Wall Street boasting to a young lady - his wife, I asume. He said loudly he worked for Morgan Stanley, the big Wall Street fat cats. He said "today I will shut down Brazil. They annoy the shit out of me". The guy must have been about 20. I have no doubt that as a Wall Street banking executive, he can do this. His wife was definitely impressed.
It horrifies me that these people have such power to be able to ruin a whole country. Brazil has 200 million people. This one Wall Street banking executive has total power over 200 million people. It makes me sick, quite frankly.

I do not understand how this forum was promoted officially by OccupyWallSt user. Please read this topic answered by the moderator: http://thetruthofitall.com/smf/index.php?topic=55.0
It is unadulterated trash. Misinformed Paulite or other shades of conservative propaganda. If you want a more authentic forum for the 99%, please go to:

Disclaimer: I am a moderator at themultitude, but I was genuinely interested in The Truth of it all and went to check out, when I found these drivels
