I also twittered this post as well as the Working Families Party request for support of the striking workers.
Shared out on twitter.
People Unite to support ALL Workers.
We start in separate issues with separate businesses - PERHAPS - But this issue goes to the heart of all Employer/Employee inequality issues.
Employer/Employee fairness is a national matter/issue - it is a World matter/issue.
8500 Con Ed workers have been locked out for more than two weeks.
You know the dispute: Con Ed's multi-millionaire top brass want to slash health and retirement security for the workers. They turned up the heat by locking out their workers -- right at the peak of a serious heatwave.
And now, it's time to turn up the heat on Con Ed. Today, we'll be standing with the workers from Local 1-2, showing our support as their lockout continues. And we'll be delivering the nearly 10,000 petitions you signed over the last two weeks.
Nearly 10,000 petition signatures is a lot of signatures, but we want to have more than 10,000. Can you help us out by sharing the petition with everyone you know who uses electricity?
Click here for a sample email to forward, or share on Facebook, Twitter and Google+.
And if you're in the city this afternoon, join us for a solidarity march with the Con Ed workers:

Thanks for your support. Hope to see you there,
