Those folks at Occupy Town Square are amazing. Their events are fun, and very informative. They do a great job at reaching out to the mainstream, to help make them realize that there is nothing subversive in wanting a government that answers to people's interests first and foremost.
This is how community should be. Gathering sharing planning for a healthier and more prosperous community and world for all.
Damn this stuff really makes me fell great. I just wish it were possible to be there and at all of the wonderful gatherings across the USA and around the world.
All you would have to do is spend a couple of hours with the people in OTS DK and you would be amazed. They bandy ideas around at lightning speed, at a night meeting they have once a week in either a park, or a public atrium....after having worked, or gone to school. Then they go back, and forth, sometimes from morning until night emailing each other, and other affinity groups to get prepared for these pop-up events. My contributions are small, because of the distance that I live from NYC, but I feel honored to be able to help them any way I can. I am proud to say that anyone of them could be one of my kids, as they all know that some things in life are worth fighting for.
There are good people in this world and I am proud to be among so many on this forum and by extension each and every gathering.
I have thought that a lot myself DK. I really have.
Good people shine bright in the darkness of tough times. {:-])
I'll be there for you DK, and give them your regards from MN. :-)
I appreciate that.
Man this is turning out to be a fine Spring.
Sorry, I just accidentally botted you down here. lol..i feel terrible. Anyway it comes back to Alexander Dubchek's quote from The Prague Spring, "You can crush the flowers, but you can't stop the spring."
Yes I like that quote. So appropriate right now. Thanks.
Man, I wish I could be there! OTS sounds like exactly the kind of grassroots activism we need for this movement to really succeed! Educate, educate, educate! And that is just what these kids are doing! I doff my hat to them all!!!
Thank each and every one of you! Oh, and don't be surprized if I am followed here by my personal troll. LOL!!!
All these good feelings are building my troll slayer spirits up. I'm ready to be your own personal attack dog, GK.
Thanks again, and thanks for all of your great work on this forum. It's been MUCH Appreciated.
That is what OTS does best, 'educate,' and some of them have graduated have from some great schools both here, and abroad, and they are all bright, and have a quiet resolve to see this through. Your PM to me, thanks. I don't want to start an argument at this point...lol... but no it is you GK that keeps this ship on course. :-)

Looks like a beautiful day for preparation..................:)
Good way to keep it organized and strong for May 1st.
My best wishes and support for all Occupiers everywhere.
This is great stuff isn't it?
Rumors of the death of Occupy are very immature........:)
Yes, the rumors of our death have been greately exaggerated.
What was planted in the fall will begin to grow anew......:)
Very good!
You said a mouthful there. The people in OTS are the brightest, and the best. Their resolve is inspiring.
I paraphrased and used the term immature on purpose, as it suggest the level of maturity of this forums detractors........:)
I hope you caught that.
Yes I did catch that. I knew who it was directed at right away, not because I am that quick, but because I know you fairly well by now.
In that case, I'm sure you won't mind another bump.......:)
Yes, if you wanted to pass the word too, that would be neat.
LOL - that is one way to put it. Now if it is the corrupt greedy saying it I think it would be Hope of The Death.............
The way this is going they are so screwed.
I love it.
Nuthin' says lovin' like bumpin' an important post.........:)
Got that right. And it is so agreeable too - when it is such a fine thing to promote.
This looks so well organized. I wish I could be there with you. There are so many activities and organizing and meeting and gatherings happening I just love it. What a beautiful Spring.
It is no wonder that the greedy corrupt are running around like their ant hill has been kicked over.
Damn this is exiting stuff - we grow and move forward - TOGETHER.
I would give anything to be able to join you folks there.
The combination of celebration, protest, and the thoughtful responsibility you are demonstrating is truly uplifting.
I wish you the very best. Thank you for working to make this a better world and doing so in such a gracious way.
This is going to rock!! I am already excited about May. It is even better that it's starting on the 28th of April.
Yeah...this is a rehearsal for May 1! I may be a newsie tomorrow. That's a person handing out Occupied Wall Street Journals.
Fantastic!
I had to put my foot down though when one of the OTS people asked me to wear knickers. I told her that she would have to settle for a baseball cap worn backwards. Still not sure if she was kidding. I gotta practice my NYC accent now. :-)
It isn't that hard to pick up. You will be fine.
