Complete media blackout! Man, this movement must really scare people in power in America! Nothing could testify more clearly to the enduring power and relevance of this movement.
If the Tea Party can get three people together at a cafe every major network is there. Must be that "liberal" media.
Who knows what the eventual outcome of this movement will be?
Nope, no blackout. I found quite a number of new stories on the May Day thing from various parts of the country, and tracked it throughout the day. Just not very high profile.
Liar.
Google it,
Nothing. Not from any press outlet worthy of the name.
Why you are allowed to go on endlessly spewing your insidious venom on this site I can't imagine. I can't possibly be the only one here who recognizes your "style."
And no, I won't respond to your inevitable lame comeback, the font of your bottomless well of verbal diarrhea.
Example of Democide in action - censored from the public.
Though it is just fine to show protests in foreign lands -so that TPTB can say shame on you. Time to send in the military.
The complete blackout of events in Seattle and elsewhere on May 1st calls into question everything we hear, and don't hear, in the media.
The free press in America is dead. Restoring it must be a very high priority in this movement, just after eliminating the influence of all private interest in the democratic process.
We can't give up, we must fight as long and as hard as it takes. Our survival is at stake.
Everyone, everyone, must talk to people and convince them of the very high stakes here! It is a matter of whether we will have a continuing democracy in the US, and in the world, at all - or whether we will gradually slip into another dark age.
You've said a great deal here.
"The free press in America is dead. Restoring it must be a very high priority in this movement, just after eliminating the influence of all private interest in the democratic process."
All true and logical as strategy but without the nycga being realistic in the selection of legal process to direct the people towards it, such logic cannot see support free of an array of cognitive infiltration working to promote inane wheel-spin in a flurry of false buzz.
MSM is feeling the heat of growing public derision. They have launched a generic Ad stating how wonderful American broadcasting is. Much like how fossil fuel is stinking ummm singing praises for fracking.
What happened to Dan Rather at CBS is a classic example of the gutless, grovelling, prostituted media in America today.
He had the nerve to expose George W. Bush's real military record as a draft evader and a deserter from a cushy post in the Texas National Guard (even though he was a war supporter). In other words Dan Rather had the balls to be a real journalist and expose the truth.
For that they fired and publically humiliated him, and that made me furious! It was the public captitulation of the free press for all to see.
Dan Rather should be an American hero for that. He knew the risk he was taking, and he took it anyway. He lived up to the call of integrety that his profession demands to have any meaning at all.
Why is GWB not in prison for desertion of duty?
Is this a democracy or a dictatorship? Dan Rather chose democracy, what will we chose?
On 9/11, Dan Rather spoke of controlled demolition, then got cut off.
Example of Democide in action.
People rule of thumb - Where there is smoke there is fire.
Oddly enough, you and I agree on this one. MSM in the U.S., on both sides, is not just worthless, it's a propaganda machine.
MSM are corporations. How hard do you think they will resist any info regarding challenge to corporate personhood?

In compliment Move to Amend :
Only one week to go until Move to Amend's National Day of Action Against Corporate Personhood...
127 years ago, on May 10, 1886 in the Santa Clara v. Southern Pacific Railroad case, the Court is said to have given corporations their first foothold in the Constitution.
Corporate lawyers carved out their first Constitutional foothold, claiming that corporations have rights under the 14th Amendment — the amendment passed to ensure equal protection of African Americans after slavery was abolished.
Since then, there has been case after case in which the Court expanded the Constitutional "rights" of corporations.
This May 10 is the 127th "birthday" of corporate personhood and Move to Amend activists will be raising our voices in protest nationwide.
Join our volunteers in displaying freeway banners and signs with messages calling for our amendment to the Constitution. Click here to find the action nearest you and RSVP! And if you're organizing an event yourself, don't forget to add it to the site so that others in your area will know where to go to join you.
Thanks for all you do!
MOVE TO AMEND

We, the People of the United States of America, reject the U.S. Supreme Court's Citizens United ruling, and move to amend our Constitution to firmly establish that money is not speech, and that human beings, not corporations, are persons entitled to constitutional rights.
Court Systems: Judges act like they can't judge or weigh Law for themselves right?
I guess we have huge Institutions where people act like they don't know enough to figure everything out or even inject Principal.
It is almost like Judges are afraid of Blowback or Pushback or Backlash from the Wealthy Interested Parties in Law Cases.
I know it is hard without an example... I think DKA mentioned (here it is) Citizens United Supreme Court Case based on an Amendment in the 1900s that gave rights to color people or people of color.
Another case example is the ACLU case that was thrown out recently by a Judge who stated that since the USA has this secret Court for Wire Tap Warrants... and we don't know if the ACLU was Damaged... then there is no case against the Federal Government. But the ACLU has decades of history of fighting for rights, privacy, equal rights, infringing on rights, ect.
So now under the Corporate Dictatorship... What all our Judges have to be pointed to the principals involved, Lawyers have to present the right arguments and not use general case law, constitutional law, legal definitions, ... does every precedent and applicable case have to be sited to win a case now.
In effect... we have to have the most connected and expensive Law firm that specializes in the specific case law for us to Sue in Court??
Justice is blind. Plausible deniability ? Handy ain't it ? It is just too damn complicated even for those who went to college for it.
Democide.
So our court system is competitive. We have to compete for truth. We have to compete for Justice.
Where is Matt Taibbi? I want him and Chris Hedges in on this discussion...
I would like to see them get together perhaps with Bill Moyer and do a show on Democide and the law.
I'm feeling like getting local college or university to host ... would be big enough to attract a few speakers. Are university fees higher than college fees? Are college fees higher than speaking fees for inside a church or private residence?
Perhaps the place to start is with normal speaking terms of the individuals we list as personalities.... Get those estimates, then transpo estimates, per diem estimates,... get location estimates & proposals.... say probably $40 a day per diem for expenses per person .... maybe Jill Stein would better be set aside if she has fees...
Nice. Would still work with Moyers - I think.
Maybe a person would take a list of speakers and topics to a university or college and see if they have objections....
And try to assess the cost of the building for 3 hours...
I still think ( and their are student movements ) that a program like Moyers would like to do that. A show from a university.
No, I think you are right. And these foundations or media funds can take the load off of the expense.
Absolutely.
Public not private university.
From the May Day schedule of events - Free University @ Copper Union
Looks like someone( s ? ) fears the idea of a Bill Moyers show to be done at a public university - about the Law & Democide - with guest speakers like - Matt Taibbi Chris Hedges James W. Loewen. And Naomi Klein Jill Stein Elizabeth Warren Bernie Sanders. Understandable fear from the shills/sellouts/corpoRATists.
Sounds broad enough. We have to bring in history & anthropology.
Lets also invite James W. Loewen. And Naomi Klein. We have to stir the Pot!!!
Jill Stein Elizabeth Warren Bernie Sanders?
Absolutely... And with agenda presented up front to allow them to prepare.
I don't know how these things work. Does the producer pay for all transportation and make sure all audio and video are available to record the event.....?
Then I guess we would need a producer, or a fund raiser. A cost estimate for transportation and hotels and for a church or place to hold the event might bring out many donations... or find a producer.
Right....?
Pitch it to Bill along with the definition of Democide. The guests might be very enthusiastic to take part. Hell it might get publicity on the PBS news hour.

In compliment to the streaming live coverage from independents over the internet.
People!!! Note that the MSM would show protests in foreign lands on May Day - but would not show coverage for the protests/marches here at home in the Good Ol USofA.
There is a term that goes to explaining this type of purposeful censorship.
Democide http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Democide
An Excerpt:
The objectives of such a plan of democide include the disintegration of the political and social institutions of culture, language, national feelings, religion, and the economic existence of national groups; the destruction of the personal security, liberty, health, dignity; and even the lives of the individuals belonging to such groups.[7]
