xklandestinexI am recently laid off, with no chance of recall, from my job of over 7 years. I hadn't had a raise for 3 1/2 years. It seems that loyalty and dedication mean nothing anymore. How many of you would stay at a job that wouldn't give you raises that you've earned? While the boss says there's no money for the raises, but, he has a new car every 2 years and buys a vacation home and furnishings for it. I have been disgusted for MANY years now with our politicians out for themselves. They represent their biggest contributors first, figure what they can get out of it next, and then if there's time, they throw us a bone. Our president has been filabustered at every turn, trying his best to turn things around. We need to tell our representitives that OUR best interest comes first. that if they won't do that then we'll vote them outta office, and put someone in who will. Don't just protest, e-mail congress and the senate, REPEATEDLY. Flood their web sites, don't let them THINK that if they wait we'll just go away. I am proud to be an American, I served my country, and I serve my community. I put others first, mostly, sometimes you gotta think of your family first. Don't get discouraged, keep up the protest, stay non-violent. Non-violence will get their attention, violence will only undermine our cause. President Obama spoke of change while running for office, I believe that this is part of the change he spoke of.
