vrumCongress writes the legislation. Our votes count. Our voice is neither coherent, focused nor organized. So the representatives have to ignore our 'noise' and listen to the well organized special interests, lobbies and money. If we simply focus on a few central issues that strike a chord across party lines, then we can enact fundamental change to make elections fair, keep our representatives from undue influence by special interests, etc. I favor building consensus for solutions that can EASILY gain cross-partisan support. Here's how I envision building a forum within Occupy: We need to discern a platform that can generate broad based support. Private MessagesMust be logged in to send messages. |
