We don't necessarily need to raise taxes. We need to stop the government from subsidizing the "too big to fail" industries that are keeping this country from progressing as a true free market. The USA has home-grown engineered, deployable technology now for clean, alternative energy. The developers of such clean, alternative tech have gotten money from the rich and not necessarily the federal government. The problem is that the government subsidizes "too big to fail" due to crony capitalism that leads to quashing the competition of the rising entrepreneurs to "too big to fail" industries.
