Compromise between Republicans and Democrats has failed because it appears from all of the bickering that it is only possible for one side to get focus at a time. The Republicans have had their time of focus for a time and to a degree that is longer than they should In any case it is time for the Democrats to get focus now. It is time not only for new jobs but salary and wage and pension increases sufficient to meet cost of living increases brought on by the tax cuts, tax breaks, tax loopholes, deregulation, privatization, stimulation packages and price increases of the Republican agenda. Republican Agenda tax cuts Democratic Agenda Job Creation that includes Wage, salary and pension increases sufficient to pay cost of living increases brought on by the Republican agenda. The solution: Tax the rich, both Republicans and Democrats. Do this by increasing taxes on income, assets and sales tax for the rich to pay off the burden of the national debt so the working class can survive and recover. This will terminate the interest the rich are gaining from lending money to the government instead of paying taxes with it.
