mreinwvI am one of the lucky ones. I have a job that is somewhat in-field--I am a teacher. That said, I will be paying off my student loans until I die. You know, the loans I was encouraged to take advantage of to get a bachelors degree and then a masters so that I could make a better living than my family had before me? Now my step father, who just got his G.E.D. makes nearly as much as I do and friends of mine in the service indrusty make more than me. How am I supposed to convince my students to succeed in school and go on to college to better themselves when I no longer believe in the American Dream?
