krisoftI'm in Ireland - a country that's already been sold out by the last government in charge. Property developers and bankers have been rewarded for ruining the economy by receiving a 120 BLN euro bailout and counting. With the Irish government on track to creating debt of nearly a quarter of a trillion, the bill has to be footed by the tax payer. Every man, woman and child of this small country now owes up to 40,000 euros, which will be paid for through higher taxation, stealth taxes and pay cuts...not to mention a freeze on any sort of public spending on health care, social welfare etc etc etc. National survival requires that Ireland walk away from the bailout. The Government should disengage from the banks, and bring its budget into balance immediately...but this is not going to happen. Also, I would like to add, Ireland's not the only country affected, Greece, Portugal and Europe, the place that I'm so proud to come from, is being sold off for the 1%. I'm with you in spirit, perhaps I'll be able to get to Wall Street at some point, because it's not just America. The financial institutions and corporations that created this mess have had a global impact...including where I'm from.
