My wife and I are an older middle class family who has seen their retirement prospects diminish, their health care costs rise to unaffordable heights and their children's and grandchildren's futures put in jeopardy. Our economic and political systems are broken. Our country's priorities don't line up with the best interest of the actual people who do most of the living, working and dying around here.
