I am an Engineer/Project Manager working for a large fortune 500 company. Currently I am working on my MBA (with a concentration in Marketing). I am also a home owner and I wholeheartedly believe that the US is the greatest country to live in.

More about me and my beliefs:

I am 100% pro-capitalism and I would not want to live in a society where Free Markets didn't exist. Though, clearly it fails without the guidance of the government to keep the system in check.

Without guidance and transparency, the government has failed to live up to it's civil obligations to do what's best for the people of this country. What pains me even more is that folks, in some fashion or another, think that there is a link between the Invisible-hand and socialism.

Two things to be considered, since when is a checks and balance system socialistic in nature and if markets are so efficient, how did we wind up in this colossal mess?
