jazzgrrlOk, folks. If you really want to create an occupation that will make the 1% notice, occupy the Upper East Side, for God's sake. I work up there (as do many of the 99% of us who are holding up this country) for millionaires, Wall Street folks, hedge fund owners, getting paid $90 an hour to teach music to their kids. I never have to advertise, as my whole entire business is word-of-mouth. (1%=relatively small community) Regarding Wall Street: newsflash: many of these folks have made SO MUCH MONEY that they are retired in their 40s and don't ever have to set foot in downtown Manhattan again. Listen, I work my ass off as a teacher/musician. I am self-employed, have paid off my student loans but still live in a basement apartment in Brooklyn. At 38, I'm starting to think, "Gee, when the #%$@ can I buy a house? When can I finally have more than $1,000 saved up in the bank? When do I get to buy new clothes; not from Good will?" So take this little piece of advice and let's head uptown. I'll be there. :) Private MessagesMust be logged in to send messages. |
