imrationalhttp://www.youtube.com/imrational I'm an atheist with Libertarian leanings... i.e. small government, big freedoms. I think that government is needed to ensure the liberties and freedoms of its citizens and to keep the powerful from abusing their position against the less fortunate. I think we should institute run-off voting for the President and Senate. For the House, I think we should replace elections with lotteries. If you wish to be a representative for your district, you'd have to acquire the signatures of 25 people from your district that know you and will attest to your sound mind and integrity. This lets you put your name in the lottery. I think this would put common people in government as a check and balance against corporate influence in elections. It would encourage education, debate, and help minorities avoid the tyranny of the majority. Private MessagesMust be logged in to send messages. |
