I am a social worker doing more Graduate training. I fully oppose the idea of having so much wealth produced by our population and not having strong social programs. I do not believe a human being can be free because of owning a gun. The only way for a human being to be free is by having a tangible PUBLIC hefty safety net and living wages.

When a human being does not have living wages and a hefty PUBLIC safety net; then the individual becomes vulnerable to be exploited and abused in every area of his/her life. This is why we must DEMAND not only living wages and salaries but a tangible PUBLIC hefty safety net.

The US has denied this to our population for the longest time in history while being an industrialized nation. We must engage the principles of a participatory democracy and not the plutocracy fascist republic we have developed during the past 30 years.
