I am a pragmatic radical, not a rhetorical one. I want to help organize this movement into a force that can accomplish real, tangible objectives. If that means compromising grander ambitions, I'll do that. If it means forging alliances with other constituencies, like religious groups, I'll do it. The only thing that matters is getting something done. The only alternative is to "do our own thing" and accomplish nothing but a few months of publicity.
