I am a singer/songwriter, actress, arts educator and am in full support of this movement. I am lucky to have been employed my whole adult life as a freelancer but the banks won't give me a mortgage because they don't think I'm a good risk. They are making a poor decision as I have been steadily making a good living my entire adult life, and this shows on my taxes. They could be earning interest from me but instead they are choosing not to. They are not making decisions based on reality. I want my tax money to go to health insurance and education - not wars.
