NihilistI've worked almost none-stop since i was 16. I've never had a paid day off, worked 2 jobs while i was going to college, graduated a year ago and have been working a minimum wage position at a drug and alcohol treatment facility trying to help people, and now I've lost my job. Oh, I've also never been able to get unemployment, either because I was in school, or I found a job before they ever processed my application. I have filed my taxes every year since i started working. I have over $60,000 in debt, $55,000 of it is in student loans, the other is mostly my car. I have had to move back in with my father. I want to answer the phone when bill collectors call, but I don't know what to tell them, I have no savings (wiped out from school) now have no income, and though I've had 24 interviews in the last 6 months, applied for well over 50 jobs that would give me the ability to cover my obligations, have not received a single job offer. Obviously I'm qualified, otherwise i wouldn't get the interview, right? I support the OWS movement, and do consider myself a member of the 99%. I will be joining the rest of them on 10-15-11 when we join our brothers and sisters worldwide in protest of the huge social stratification that has engulfed our country and our entire planet really, since globalization and Reaganomics has stripped the middle class of it's wealth, exploited third-world workers, defecting the good paying jobs out of our borders, and raped RAPED the poor for the few pennies they could still scrape together (I'm referring to the banking industries practice of Overdraft Fees collected from people who don't have enough money in their bank accounts).
