I have been thinking about what I am willing to do to help improve healthcare and I'm ready to share my idea with this group.
I'm willing to volunteer my time to help change the food stamp program so that it operates similar to the Massachusetts WIC program. In other words, it would consist of vouchers for fresh produce, whole grain breads and cereals, and other organic food products.
My education background is in nutrition... I have a BS in Nutritional biochemistry and an MS in Food Science and Nutrition from Cornell.
I would like to join forces with someone who has a background in economics to help put the program together. Anyone who wishes to join this group with an interest in Nutrition or Economics would be most welcome!
