I live in a town that is about as non-corporate as it's possible to get in California. We don't have a Wal-Mart, and never will. We don't have a Starbucks, and never will. There is ONE McDonalds. There are laws in place that prevent corporations from building here. As a result, we have a local community that thrives on local business. I moved here from Orange County, California to get away from the materialism and greed that permeates every pore of that place. I am blessed to be employed. I am blessed to have health insurance. I am blessed to have gone to good schools, grown up with a roof over my head, and to live the life I have lived. I wish for all of my fellow human beings to have access to the opportunities that are so taken for granted by middle class citizens. A good education, food security, an open job market, affordable health-care... to name a few. I am the 99%...
