You think networking, blogging, and protesting will CHANGE anything? It will create noise, it will be downplayed, AND it will bring like-minded individuals together, but it will NOT change the "system."

The only way to create change is patronize corporations who have committed to reinvesting profits into the agenda of the youth who have been robbed of future earnings. So which corporations have pledged to cater to the young?

That's right, they do not exist...yet.

The Boomers put their heads in the sand, but we, WE do math! So here are the numbers according to www.bls.gov: (all approximate due to time and info access constraints)

Here's the math (all of it sourced!) 120 Million (M) aged 18-40 - 55% of 18+ U.S. population 2.3 Trillion (T) in Buying Power per year (py) 294 Billion (B) spent on food py 81 B spent on "Apparel and Services" py 162 B spent on "Consumables" py 537 B total spent on the above "Discretionary" define "Consumables" at the end

$12.28 per day Discretionary spending for the 55%

The only politics on this post: The Checks and Balances system of the U.S. government is Very important; however, it is void of 1 important Check - accountability

Public corporations employ somewhat Open-Book accounting according to GAAP, but the government is very closed book.

Here is the solution: We take the money back via a Corporate Replacement Plan (CRP).

Basic business knowledge will show that Cash Flow is vital to a company. Reduce 55% of expected Cash Flow for a few months and the company will overextend in the credit market to stay afloat. It is a Boycott, but this is a Super Boycott. Not only will we crush a company, we will replace it (or an overtake an industry) with our own companies, within Copyright and Patent laws.

Companies will begin by signing a pledge with exactly 2 statements:

Open-book accounting % of profits in "donated" to an incubator for other CRP start-ups *% to be determined through crowd sourcing Our generations can create, legally and non-violently, a "transfer of wealth" of epic proportions, that will dwarf the last 30 years. When we take back the assets, cash flow, and momentum, the government will listen and adapt to our demands within an Open-Book system.

Deployment: The easiest "replacement" will be websites with low start-up costs and huge advertising revenues. According to www.outsellinc.com, $412.4 Billion were spent on online advertising in 2008! Create, patronize, profit, reinvest in CRP companies and change the "system."

I have so much more to write, but I know that my highly networked and intelligent peers will take it from here. I will contribute to my abilities, but I will leave you with this:

The ONLY thing that changes the "system" is Money. Learn the history of protests, they all stop at some point; the only thing that does not stop is Money.

If you have made it this far and comprehended the power that our numbers will have on the "system," comment and post the link on your Facebook.

Let's take our money back!

  • "Consumables" - Expenditures minus housing, transportation, healthcare, entertainment, cash distributions, personal insurance and pensions
