If nature has made any one thing less susceptible than all others it is the action of the thinking power called an idea, which an individual may exclusively possess as long as he keeps it to himself; but the moment it is divulged, it forces itself into the possession of every one, and the receiver cannot dispossess himself of it. Its peculiar character, too, is that no one possesses the less, because every other possesses the whole of it. He who receives an idea from me, receives instruction himself without lessening mine; as he who lights his taper at mine, receives light without darkening me.

very nicely said.
Has it been said before?
Yes.
I think the world should read it and realize that every persons opinions, comments and ideas can be a new shared light (way of thinking) for the unjust and unresolved issues facing mankind.
No one is trying to ban an idea; we're just ignoring the really bad ones put up by the various socialists, squatters, and blamers of OWS. There's a difference.
Such as?
Gee, I dunno, such as proliferating unions, hating Jews, blaming bankers for all your problems, thinking default means you should just keep what you bought, students loans should go away no matter how dumb you were, healthcare should be free, we have something in common with Egyptians, that parks are a place for shitting in the lawn, that police are an enemy, it goes on.
bad ideas like
war is profitable
politics can be separated into two categories
lust for gain is the greatest motivator of human accomplishment
I don't think a plan to screw up the world exist? It just happen as it has in the past. A few greedy souls in controll of thier little part of the world. Pointing fingers will never change things. Justic demands a price to be paid for breaking any countries laws. Occupy has to demand Justic for the crimes committed against a countries people.
It was a lot of greedy souls including people that put nothing down on a house just to "get in". It was greed that caused people to borrow against their homes for toys too.
Some very bad decision were made to achieve the American dream of owning your own home. Most of all everyone thought that they could resell any house and make a profit so a lot of folks purchased more expensive homes then what they truely qualified for. Hell of a way to live is on the credit line.
People forgot something kinda fundamental: borrowed is not owned. But greed was rampant among borrowers. Greed for housing, greed for consumer goodies. Greed for what someone else they know just bought.
Most people give in to the pressure of keeping up with the Jones and that leads to misunderstanding the meaning of life. Too bad so many have lost so much. Time will eat away at every man made thing and the toys will turn back to the dust that that were made from.
Sure, it's greed. Point is, debtors can be as greedy as creditors, something that escapes the typical OWS blamer.
