Quote from Quinnipiac from their poll data released on Thursday:
"By a 39 - 30 percent margin, American voters have an unfavorable opinion of the Occupy Wall Street movement, with 30 percent who don't know enough about it for an opinion."
It will be interesting to see how much the harm last week's counterproductive Oakland protest harms the Occupy movement's popularity.
Well, they were about 80% productive and several articles covered the FACT that mainstream OWS folks were condemning the violence.
So, we can reach 60% without having to reverse anyone's position. Everybody loves a bandwagon.
If you are organized and regimented and repressive you can control and be responsible for your group. In open, free groups people are responsible for their own actions.
If productivity is measured in support for the movement, then the Oakland strike this week was definitely unproductive. Future polls will tell the full story.
If productivity is measured as success on some other objective, then I'm still waiting to hear what that objective was.
Support is waning for these idiots
Support will naturally wane over time. What I'm specifically curious about is what impact the Oakland protest will have on support. We know that it will erode support for the Occupy movement. The question is simply: how much?
Bull shit, we are the .01% of the 99%!
good
fuck this movement
