Well don't worry, you'll get over it. As to what brings me here I have to say, it is only art. Art brings me here. Art and nothing more for this is Art.

There has been a theme upon the air of late, it is a theme which I will explicate. It is a theme which I do vigorously hate.

My neighbor called me this am. She called to inquire if I had received my phone book. Phone books are a touchy subject with me in general and have been ever since I demonstrated the efficacy of the Basin Book - and I still have my copy - as an instrument of terror . . . but never mind. That was a whole other matter . . .

This incident begins next door, and the occasion which caused my other neighbor to ask. She wanted to know because she had not, but apparently the folks who live between us had. They received their phone book late last Friday evening, and the person making the delivery did not leave right away. The home owner went back outside to see what was up, apparently some claim was made to the effect that a log needed to be filled out. The homeowner insisted the delivery person fill it out on the main road.

Now, I cannot say if this news report would have played any role in the home owner's mind, for it seems this report is detailing an incident that took place just a bit earlier that same day. But the driveway is long, the road is a dead end, and the house is not visible. I really don't blame the guy for asking the delivery person to fill out their papers down on the main road.

Interestingly enough, the delivery person delayed long enough for this man to retrieve a fire arm, so I have been told. Since I have in the past heard the gun fire emanating from his open window I must say, I'm not too surprised. What does surprise me is that apparently he got arrested as a result - though the delivery person was by that time clearly trespassing and was unharmed overall.

No. I have not received my phone book. I wait it's arrival with eager anticipation. Maybe I'll plant that mutherfuker in the garden just to see what sprouts.

It should really come as no surprise these days to discover thieves and murderers are given free reign - after all, the current Mayor of Burlington plans to raise the parking rate to $1.50 / hour and with the proceeds plans to purchase and install smart meters.

Fucking Smart Meters - they will take credit cards and track parking data and I don't see what is so smart about that. Why is any local community handing more cash to the banksters via credit cards, and why are we even considering providing more data to the data whores . . . why?

Now for the murderers. It seems Burlington has chosen to toss out it's Abortion Clinic buffer zone. That's right, and now those who cheer the doctor killers are free to intimidate and harass women seeking health care. That fact makes me quite irrational. I'm tempted to put the plow on and go driving on the sidewalk next time those right wing freaks want to hold a sermon on the public sidewalk.

After all. I've a tongue all my own. That's right mutherfukers, and unlike some my tongue actually comes attached to a pair of hands with opposable thumbs.
