Forum Post: Would like to organize a long island group to protest in solidarity

I am the mother of 4 children and I want to be in manhattan protesting with the great people there. It is impossible for me to do so because of my children, I would like to organize a group of people that are in my same situation, but would like to join forces with the occupy wall street movement. The long overdue revolution has started and I want to be a part of it. Anyone intrested in joining me?
I think it's a good idea! Let's roll..
Far too many Long Islanders are still enjoying their green lawns and 1/2 family homes to even consider occupying anything other than the confines of their homes. The problem doesn't hit home until it becomes personal and then it may be too late for them. Unfortunately, these protests, which are for real and are long overdue, are occuring not in suburban enclaves but in the cities. If you can't make it to a specific place to join a protest then maybe setting up a blog or other social media outlet may be just the thing for you to show your solidarity. Thanks.
