After reading up on the Occupy Wall Street movement, I have to admid that I respect the goals of it - to help level out the financial field to benefit the people recently out of work. However, the idea of protesting may not be the best way to go about this. Firstly, I am worried that some political leader will gain a position (such as president) on the promise of fufilling this goal - he has no need to keep such a promise once elected. (Historically, this is a small piece of what gives people like Julius Caesar and Hitler their starting power - breads and circuses) Secondly, hasn't our government tended to be either slow in achieving what people want or moved so quickly that they miss the goal in the laws they pass. Would it not be better to get groups together within the Occupy Movement with similar abilities, pool your money together, and start your own business - one who treats its clients and its employees as you feel they should be treated. The large companies can't have a monopoly, and you would only have room to grow. Start in the garage like the old days, and achieve balance by challenging the companies' market. Given this idea, I would like to hear your comments on this.
I think it's an excellent idea. But there's no reason to choose one over the other.
What's to stop you from banding together at Wall Street and starting a company designed to do whatever you're doing at Wall Street?
