Signing another late Friday Executive Order, corporate fascist puppet president Obama bypasses legislative delay and public debate to grab control of the 'Net.
WORLD WAR WEB ADVISORY #8: ODRONA THE INDEFINITE DETAINER ISSUES INTERNET EXECUTIVE ORDER (#EPCF)
Last Friday afternoon, 6 July 2012, the global fascist elite that controls both of our major political parties and through them our government had their current Imperial White House figurehead issue the following order - raising his cumulative number of dictatorial decrees (that we can know about) to somewhere around 130:
http://1.usa.gov/PlCLga (this Executive Order)
http://1.usa.gov/Vg94h (all Executive Orders)
This latest proclamation carries the typically long-winded title of "Assignment of National Security and Emergency Preparedness Communications Functions" ("EPCF") and contains much that many too-quick-to-comment bloggers like Ed Morrisey at HotAir.com dismiss with "Don't worry! All is well!" boiling-the-frog assurances like this:
"I have an obvious interest in ensuring that any administration - whether it be Republican, Democratic, or Kanamit - cannot just pull the plug on private communications systems to silence dissent and opposition. This particular EO doesn’t really provide any new authority to do so, nor does it provide the kind of on/off-switch that rightly concerned civil libertarians in 2009."

I COULD NOT DISAGREE MORE. One does not need a Harvard Law degree to discern that EPCF Section 5.2 in general and paragraph 5.2(e) in particular is a cart blanche for fascist puppet president Bushbamney and his brown-shirt stooges at DHS to take complete control of the World Wide Web, the Internet, and all of our private telecommunications systems, resources and entities pretty much at will:
"Sec. 5.2. The Secretary of Homeland Security shall: (a) oversee the development, testing, implementation, and sustainment of NS/EP communications, including: communications that support Continuity of Government; Federal, State, local, territorial, and tribal emergency preparedness and response communications; non-military executive branch communications systems; critical infrastructure protection networks; and non-military communications networks, particularly with respect to prioritization and restoration;... (e) satisfy priority communications requirements through the use of commercial, Government, and privately owned communications resources, when appropriate;"
Mr. Morrisey's Hot Air assurances are just that. In fact, being so flippant about what is clearly one more slip in our accelerating slide from freedom to fascism makes me wonder if his bread isn't being buttered by the same powers that maintain a small Quisling army of Obamapologists and other pro-regime propagandists in what I like to think was once intended by Occupy Wall Street to be an open forum dedicated to ending corporate greed and political corruption:

The Electronic Privacy Information Center assesses the damage to our civil liberties and threat to Internet Freedom much as I do:
"The Executive Order grants new powers to the Department of Homeland Security, including the ability to collect certain public communications information. Under the Executive Order the White House has also granted the Department the authority to seize private facilities when necessary, effectively shutting down or limiting civilian communications."

IF YOU TRY to raise the alarm about the "bad" Internet Executive Order issued 6 July, don't be surprised if you get some blowback from Sheeple who confuse it with this closely-timed "good" Internet Executive Order issued 14 June:
Take care you don't end up getting un-Liked, un-Followed, voted down or flamed with negative "Karma". On the other hand, if they flip the kill switch on the Internet, all that virtual nonsense will disappear. Then the Sheeple will be forced to look up from their iPhones and away from their Fakebook pages, and maybe see what's really happening around and to them.
Given at least the possibility of that unintended consequence, maybe I'm not so opposed to EPCF after all...

its ok because it makes us safer. obama is a man of his word. he promised us 'change' and 'hope'
Haha, yeah.
All sarcasm aside. I'd also like to point out there are free straight jackets, padded cells, and anti-psychotic meds for the looney tunes who actually support this string of internet executive orders.
This is also for OUR protection.
"It is significant to note here that when the United States administrations, Obama or previous Bush, envisage to promulgate draconian legislation, sometimes as Executive orders, cleverly take cover behind national security and national disasters. When national security, America's safety, war on terrorism and protecting U.S. interests abroad are highlighted the obnoxious nature of many regulations, laws and Executive orders are 'smokecreaned'."
"The previous Bush administration used 'waterboarding', a simulated drowning technique to extract confessions from 'enemy combatants', and other techniques used to combat global terrorism clearly violating international humanitarian law (IHL) and international human rights law (IHRL) were justified in the name of national security, global war on terrorism and safeguarding U.S. and its allies interests abroad."

Those in power, are "biting the carpet," over the internet.
It has been nice visiting here.
