Forum Post: Working together

I think that people need to come together more than ever during this time and not just in a spiritual or emotional sense but in a physical and active sense.

Yes we are occupying all of these places and standing up for what we believe in, but we are still relying on that 1% and the corrupt system we oppose when we should be using it against itself to achieve our goals.

If people would just work together by combining their income and working to get each other out of debt then we wouldn't be so crippled financially, we could also work together in starting businesses or by buying houses or sending members of our community to college for a better education. All of these things can be done through unity alone.

What's even better is that through unity like what we are getting through this occupy movement political figures are born and every political figure needs a political party behind them, who better than the community that gave birth to them?

From those very basic ideas we can put an end to debt, unemployment, and homelessness, and to top it all off achieve fair representation in our government. That is just the base potential, there is no telling what other possibilities can result from this in the future but we'll never know until we try.

Just keep in mind that movement is meaningless without direction, and direction is pointless without purpose, we have the movement now we need the action, don't just stand up, push forth.
