Forum Post: Words have power...you DON'T want "Liberty"....

think about it....'liberty' is something, that by definition is 'granted' as in 'give me liberty, or give me death'....nice words but still a request to some 'greater authority' for 'permission for liberty'.

Now, think about this....liberty is granted, but freedom is taken. Therefore i submit that we/you do not really want 'liberty' as we are in the process of taking our freedom.

Make sense? Words have power. Notice how frequently your frustrations are, at their root, caused by what the entrenched powers are doing to 'spin' things. Words have power. Take that power along with your freedom.

Masa katsu! True victory is victory over oneself. clif

I'm not sure precisely what you mean. I would argue that the American Revolution was fought for liberty.

It was not fought so that homosexuals can get married. It was not fought so that OWS protesters could provoke the police force in New York City and stick their legs out under motorcycles to pretend they've been injured and mistreated. And it was definitely not fought so that they could slander and defame honest men.
