"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies. If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around the banks will deprive the people of all property – until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered." - Thomas Jefferson,1802
Seems Jefferson was right it has happen.
Maybe our founding fathers knew more then what people give them credit for today. Maybe into them we should place our trust, in those who gave their everything so that we "could" live as free men.
Im surprised by how much they were able to foresee and provide checks against.
I couldn't agree more.

Fake quote.
I hope we shall crush in its birth the aristocracy of our monied corporations which dare already to challenge our government to a trial by strength, and bid defiance to the laws of our country. Thomas Jefferson
Brilliant insight. Great post.
And yet no one listens to them. They saw first hand what we are seeing today, yet we dont listen.
Sad facts and those of us who say this are told that those are old ideals and we need new ways. Well the new ways don't work and these "old ways" are the only thing that has ever worked.

It's curious that the movement hasn't gone after the biggest private bank of all.
