Not sure if OWS was involved, but they should have been.

Last week, leaders of communities harmed by oil giant Chevron descended upon the company’s annual shareholder meeting in San Ramon, California to demand environmental justice and human rights. Participants from as far away as Angola, Ecuador, and Brazil joined with the True Cost of Chevron network (of which I am a part) and some 150 local protesters to decry Chevron’s abuses both around the globe and here in the U.S., from California to Texas to Washington, D.C.

This private contractor army thing, is a serious problem. Little or no accountability for the atrocities committed.

This is a thing that many do not realize - foreign environmental and population abuses committed by American companies. Out of sight out of mind. Ambassadors of the American people our corporations in action - no wonder we are so beloved as a nation as a people.

These kinds of things are perpetrated by all the neo-libe(R)tarian corporations all over the World.

Chevron was just convenient for this demonstration.

Absolutely.

As stated above:

Do people wonder how a private mercenary company stays employed?

By protecting our beloved ambassadorial corporation foreign operations.

Protecting them from the societies that they abuse in the name of profit over people.

I never had any doubts about that.

It's been going on at one level or another for decades.

See my new post on the failure of society. It is an opinion piece but I think it has some merit.
