In many a thread I see people speak that there should be winners and losers.
Winners will certainly be able to take care of themselves, so I don't think there is much to worry about them, but how is society going to deal with the so-called losers.
With increased outsourcing and further automation, there will likely be more losers in the future. What to do about that?
Full employment at a level that is sustainable (providing food, a place to live, transportation, clothes) may not be possible for all in a dog eat dog society.
People without much success will probably refuse to simply die, at least there is no historic evidence for that.
Of course we could expand the prison population even further, but that comes at a higher cost than even the most advanced social safety net will provide.
So my question to all those that feel they are or will be winners: how are you going to deal with those you consider losers?
There are always going to be winners and losers. The issue is cheating. Everyone should play by the same rules
