Here's one take on the subject: http://www.wealthlift.com/blog/future-fracking/

The good thing is, that some companies are working to provide clean fracking liquids...

What do you think? Will we all be doomed to an early cancer-related death?

Only if some one has a brilliant idea on how to purify that shyt they are removing from the ground. http://www.motherjones.com/environment/2012/01/fracking-water-poisoning-protest-movement Always remember, building the Atomic Bomb created thousands of jobs and livelihoods for people....yet...its end results....well...first look at how it begins, then find out for yourself how it ended. Has it been used since? http://io9.com/5929562/rare-photographs-of-atomic-bomb-testing-at-bikini-atoll

Like a child, man plays with anything he can get his hands on, never realizing the consequences of his actions!

Exactly. I prefer the precautionary principle myself. Especially when something as important as water is involved.

If the industry is not made to operate safely - if the industry can not be made a safe process. It is not only the nasty chemicals used in the fracking process - it is also the fact that the extraction containment jackets fail and then the pollution/poisoning happens in that way also..

Gasland is a bit skewed IMO but still a good movie to watch on this subject
