Forum Post: Why We Don't Protest Much?

In Europe they go out in the streets and strike and protest whenever there's a chance. It somewhat puzzles me why we don't do it as much in America.
Maybe it is because we are mostly immigrants, though second, third generation? Is it that we have this genetic memory of our ancestors that "this stuff is not mine". That whip of a long-dead exploiter, that still humbles us?
