I am new here, but havent heard anythng about term limits. It will keep out the career politician, and keep corporate America from buying their agenda through OUR elected officials. It wont stop all the money, but definately a start. That, along with a true third party....as our founding fathers put it....by the people, for the people

For decades now the corporations and special interests have had our "representatives" bought and paid for (both on the right and the left). Don't get distracted by the symptoms - we need to address the root cause. Concentrating our efforts on getting the money out of our politics is the best way we can create an environment in which further reforms, like term limits, can be realized. Until we end the current system of legalized bribery (campaign donations) and paid lobbying our politicians will continue to be the LAP DOGS of the corporations and special interests. What we need first and foremost is real, loop-hole free CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM!!!! If the corruption is not dealt with first, the chance of any other meaningful reforms becoming a reality is almost zero - the special interests will just use their money to buy votes and put forward bills that create loop-holes or otherwise twist the law in their favor. If we want our children to live in a country where there vote matters, we need to get the money out of our politics, otherwise they will increasingly become the 21st century version of the "landless peasant." Spread the word - End the LEGALIZED BRIBERY!!! CAMPAIGN FINANCE REFORM needs to be THE main goal of the protests!!!

Term limits is a great idea that I have always supported.

As far as a third party, there is nothing stopping anyone or any group of people from creating a third party.

The problem with third parties is that they tend to focus too much and revolve around single issues. That makes them unappealing to the broader electorate.

Don't forget, it is usually the vast amount of independent voters in the electorate that decide presidential elections. Third party candidates from parties created around single issues will never capture enough votes to win. They only suck votes away from one or the other major parties.

99er's are going to suck 99% of the votes away from republicrats, that's the whole idea.

You claimed the movement is going to suck 99% of the votes away from Republicrats.

The only one left is Obama and the Democrats.
