It's so infuriating to hear people whining about Wall Street as if it represents one evil machine that wants to keep them in poverty. Here's how capitalism works: you come up with a product or service other people will pay money for and you provide it. If it is a success, you can become financially secure. If it is not, you find something else to sell. If you can't think of anything, you go to work for someone who can. If you want to grow your business and raise capital, you can offer shares to the public by selling its stock. If people like your idea, they will invest by buying shares of your stock. It's that simple. Wall Street is the market place for buying and selling stock. It's not some evil machine.
I understand why people think Wall Street is the problem, but my vote is for occupying the various Fed branches and Washington, DC.
Washington is the problem; Wall Street and the corporations have just been profiting from the corruption of the system.
Who has the guns? Who is paying the military contractors?
commonsense, In a perfect world this is how it is supposed to work. Delve deeper into what is going on and you will become informed. Are you content with the state of our country as it is today? Do you think that corporations funding politicians' campaigns is fine? Do you think that money backed by nothing and created out of thin air should be the status quo? We the 99% do not.
