Our peaceful revolution is a result of: a youth that has grown up in a world in which governments invaded countries and killed millions of innocent civilians over false pretences; a youth that has repeatedly seen financial goals take precedence over the protection of Earth's valuable resources that give us food, life and sustenance; a youth that has grown up in a world where a tiny percent of people own more than two-thirds of the wealth. We live in a world where we have been taught to turn the other cheek to our enemies, while wise adults continue to play the eye-for-an-eye game, repaying violence with violence, with little regard for the human lives or the valuable resources that hang in the balance; we have watched our parents suffer in menial jobs, attempting to make ends meet and pay taxes and raise their children in a system that tells them that is what they must do to live a good life, while their employers reap all the benefits of their labours.

We are not the spoilt generation; we are simply the tired generation. Tired of a system that serves a tiny group of the elite and cares little for the welfare of its people.

We ask that the people that run our world end this ceaseless quest for wealth, wealth and more wealth. By amassing all this wealth with little regard for the rest of us, for the MOTHER EARTH, for all its beautiful, wondrous, natural resources - by doing so, you may think you are living the 'American dream' - however, what happens to your 'American Dream' when the melting icecaps results in the washing away of the many cities that you live on? What happens when the rainforest and ecosystem slowly collapes as trees continue to be killed - you know, the very same trees that provide you with the oxygen that you require to breathe - what happens to the American Dream then?

Why is it okay for you to outsource your industrial activities to developing countries all over the world, that are now producing the very same chemicals that YOU have deemed are poisonous, cancer-causing, and must not be produced on your soil?

We are all ONE. We are all here on this beautiful Earth to love, rejoice, to play, to be happy, to breathe fresh air, to care for and support one another. This is what our generation seeks – a return to the human condition. We’re all in this together. Change must happen NOW because our planet cannot continue to rebound from the destruction we are causing it. Love and Peace to all. We are ONE and as one, we shall rise, to a different kind of system – one that puts humans, wildlife, and nature, FIRST.
