Forum Post: Why not make one demand of Congress that will benefit everyone?

I think you've chosen the best possible way to go about this: including the many thousands of ways in which individuals have been impacted by Wall Street. People simply have to tell you what those ways are.

I have a question: how will it change without at least one demand that Congress has to act on that will benefit everybody - and act on BEFORE THE PRIMARIES START?

The one thing I have not the seen anywhere is the one thing that could benefit everyone: demand that before - BEFORE -the primaries public funding of elections be passed and lobbying eliminated. Let every incumbent know that during the primary every incumbent can be voted out of office, without their constituents being required to change values or parties. (p.s. - we already have publicly funded elections - what lobbyists are paid is built into the cost of litersally everything we buy.)

By the way, were you aware that although corporations that receive contracts from the government are allowed to lobby - and are even considered people - non-profits are not allowed to lobby in favor of the people they assist or represent?
