Forum Post: Why I think OWS is a great idea, but ultimately is doomed

The idea of waking people up to what is going on in the world with corporate greed, the NWO, banksters, etc., etc., is really great, however; this movement, like all similar movements in history, will either be squashed or short lived. History, time and again, shows us how the few are able to take over control of society, how the people uprise, and the cycle starts all over again. One illustration of this phenomenon is the book by George Orwell, Animal Farm. The Animal Farm story has been going on for centuries, in different countries all over the world. The present movement of OWS faces many obstacles. If they try to deal with the present government and leave them in power they are doomed. They face the pitfall of possibly being infiltrated by the shadow elite and steered off course or diluted. Even if they get what they want and implement a new government the Animal Farm cunumdrum will set in. Of course to do nothing right now would be wrong, and hopefully some relief will be realized. Of course I can't say enough about how great it is to bring about this awareness.

The world is a very different place that it was only ten years ago. The private Federal Reserve spends a lot of money placing puppet Presidents (and illegal residents) into power, finances mainstream propaganda outlets, and assassinates opposition. The internet has proven too much for them and we are rapidly approaching a critical mass awareness and information distribution capacity that has the power to bring our current system of corruption to a halt and, if we are vigilant as our founding fathers urged, never allow it to return.

Well said. Even if all it does is wake people up to these truths, it will be a victory that changes the course of history.

We need a completely new type of system. I think a resource based economy would be good. Research it, if you haven't already. www.thevenusproject.com

It has a FAQ section.

I am optimistic, but not about this scenario.

It is not easy but the people out there are not sure how to fix all these things and they could use people who know what is going on helping them. This might not change a thing but it is worth getting involved and trying. You could be the one person that changes everything. Please help us. :)

It's definitely doomed. The city is already making plans to shut it down.

It has already cost over $2 million in police overtime alone. The local businesses are on the phone with the mayor's office complaining every single day.

The clock is ticking rapidly and patience is wearing thin.

Relax. If the group there gets kicked around and pushed out it will only intensify the movement. Think of it as Obi Wan getting struck down by Darth Vader only to become immortal through the force. Star Wars ftw!

Stay optimistic Stay involved.

It's like the matrix, too many will refuse to unplug and see reality.

Yeah, I like the matrix. Go Neo!
