Honestly... Steve Jobs created 40,000 jobs in China. Not to mention the iPhone is a piece of junk.
I say only USA made products should be on our shelves.
Plus the stingy bastard never gave a penny to charity. Over three billion dollar net worth and not a penny to charity. Pretty sad.
Hard to say iPhone is a piece of junk with so much demand let alone the rest of Apple's products. The problem with on USA made products being on the shelves is they would be empty. The USA doesn't make much anymore. Take GM for example.... most of the car parts are foreign made. Electronics... foreign, Furniture... foreign, etc etc. Put hefty taxes on imports and change the tax system so that businesses have incentives to come back from overseas would be a good start.
There hardware and innovations! Because of Steve Jobs we have so many awesome products. Now, I hate Apple products with a passion but I would never fill up this forum with all of the reasons why I cannot stand Apple products. All I can say is that I do not like the hardware and secrecy of Apple products and how Apple's, we want to feed you what is entertainment, thing. But all that aside, he did a great thing and we should all respect someone who actually was capable of accomplishing the American dream because he was 1 in a billion.
As long as Washington keeps up their free market campaign more jobs will be shipped overseas.
So far I've seen no politician speak against it.
The fact that Apple is not being targeted by the Occupy Wall Street movement is a perfect example of why the movement will fail unless we shift our focus to occupying the White House and Congress. Right now we are targeting perceived wrongs and ignoring things we like. Apple's corporate values are just as bad as the banks -- maybe worse because of all the overseas labor -- but we love Apple products so we ignore Apple in our movement. Many of us love Obama too, and we ignore him. But, in the end, it's only President Obama and the Congress that are going to make changes for us. Not to mention Steve Jobs wanted to bust teacher unions, and Foxconn (where Apple products are made) is run like a virtual slave camp.
He wasn't a hero.
