I want to support the movement, I really do. However, I'm afraid it's going to be hijacked just like the Tea Party did. This time by the unions and Obama, who is a corporate whore. My main problem with the protests is that many of you don't see any distinction between capitalism and corporatism. Capitalism is freedom, corporatism is not. In fact Thomas Jefferson once said;
"I believe that banking institutions are more dangerous to our liberties than standing armies . . . If the American people ever allow private banks to control the issue of their currency, first by inflation, then by deflation, the banks and corporations that will grow up around [the banks] . . . will deprive the people of all property until their children wake-up homeless on the continent their fathers conquered . . . The issuing power should be taken from the banks and restored to the people, to whom it properly belongs."
So where do you stand? I realize you don't have an "official" list of goals, but if one of the goals on this eventual (if there ever is one) list of demands is socialism or communism, you will be rejected by not only me, but by the American people.
