To be honest I don't think going to Washington is the right Idea, I think the movements and cliques should stay in the states they are in but influence the Maryland populace to create another chapter of the movement which is certainly possible. At the moment I believe the motive should be to educate the masses in a cold hard fashion. while I have a long testimonial from an Economist friend in Singapore it could be very useful to have a straight, unbiased report of the economy right now from several economists in the movement telling people how it is and then disseminating this information to the general public. I believe this would be a nice alternative (at the time being) to creating demands.
Now why I think the Washington trip is a bad idea is because the politicians are already the deaf ear towards this organization, you don't ask people through their deaf ear to do anything, you use the working ear or The People of the United States to make changes. the Political organ of the U.S. is ineffectual without the support of the people. While this may not be true for the Conservatives and the Tea Party (they would never support us) there is a need to appeal more to the People than the Government, I believe.
