Corporations automated the products that we want to consume mass producing them for less, and then shipped them to our marketplaces in massive quantity. While the small business man can't even get his product on the market shelf. Take a gander for yourself, is there any product on our marketshelfs that arent corporate goods? Yet we go buying like sheep to the slaughter.
Perhaps a better way to buy our groceries, is to support our local farmers market. why they even sell stock so that you get a share of the harvest. If we did that, it might put a dent into things, but the lions share of our money is still going to processed goods like lays, general mills, etc...
if the local farmers market are willing to sell a little cheaper, i might think about it.
They generally do, and you should consider supporting the small business man.
It is great to praise small business if you are NOT in small business. We talk about putting our goods on the selves so compete with the large corporations.
Just figure for even a minute what it would cost you to put one specific item on the shelf of Walmart.
Let's see, you would need, let's say 10 of the items on a shelf in EVERY WALMART in the nation, plus at least 10 per store as backup in their warehouses, plus another 10 per store in your own warehouse for ready shipment, along with another 10 per store in production, plus another 10 per store in the form of raw materials ready for production.
Just calculate this cost of product alone if you figure you are producing a item selling for $10.00 wholesale to WALMART.
Now consider the fact that you would at this point probably HAVE to incorporate in order to protect yourself and your investment and all of a sudden you are now the target of OWS and every other idiot in the country because you are a corporation.
Why even try, if all you get is condemnation from someone with such ill thought ideas that they see evil in anything you do.
no, they can produce as many products as they can sell from their home, forget about leasing a building, start small, thats how all big bignesses started. otherwise your point just proves that we are set up in society to only favor the rich and the successful while leaving everyone else behind or on their own with an attitude of "I got mine so you go and get yours". What a shame to call us "UNITED STATES". We are not united, or like the other song goes, "and crown thy good with brotherhood from sea to shining sea". I have not felt like a brother to anyone in this country in fact, I feel as though you would have me sleep in my car, and form laws to take my children from me, because I am homeless therefore I am an unfit father also.
Our cars depreciate after they drive off the lot, if we could have our homes depreciate, that means more money for the families that work to pay for them, and live in them. Instead, it became an out of control, never ending ATM machine for families leaving them, without using their senses, in effect they made their bed and now they have to live in them. I support people walking away from their homes, as many, and I do mean many people are carrying mortgages that are worth less than they owe on them, This is going to cause the prices of homes, to go even lower, as it should, and my idea, will actually come into effect, that having lower priced homes leaves more money in the hands of families that live in them, and more money to purchase goods, as people walk off their worth-less homes.
Shame on americans for driving them up in the first place taking no thought of how it forced our mothers out of the home to go to work to help pay for the home, instead of being home to prepare it for the family each day, and teach the children the things that are right. Shame Shame Shame! Remember whatever bed people make they also have to lie in it.
Remember that the BED analogy applies to YOU also. Looks like you are attempting to make your bed at the expense of those who not complaining about theirs. Prices were driven up by greed - greed of people just like you who wanted more than was even reasonable plus extra money to buy cars, boats, furniture etc. Any idiot could have seen that was an upside down deal the moment that they signed the mortgage papers. I am not shamed for the idiotic actions of others whether they be drunk on wine, money, of lust.
You have no place in this society or this country to set yourself up as the judge and jury of others as you have done in your post above. If you think depreciation is such a great savior and a way out of our stupid decisions, buy some investment property. I am sure that you will make a killing depreciating that property off over a period of 27.5 years as the rest of us have to do who have this type of income.
You simply speak out of our ignorance and under the assumption that everyone else has it better than you do. You need to get over it, get a life, and if you wish to continue to grovel in your misery, at least find out what the source of that misery is.
Yeah, I got mine, and I got it by working my way through college, by working jobs that were far in excess of 40 hours per week, by living to be 69 years old and still working today (Saturday).
This country offers more than any country I can find on this earth. It is my responsibility to help my fellow man to help themselves and I DO THAT. I do not help those have the luxury of having time to post endless cries such as yours herein. If you have that kind of time and that much access to computer resources - do something worthwhile to help yourself and your fellow man.
thanks for your response, and ur right im not others judge, however, if others are going to continue to withold the abundance of the earth from me, then I am in my right to say something about it.
more crazy talk.
I thought you were pro-business? Oh, only pro-BIG business?
Many of us actually do purchase our groceries directly from the farmers.
