The monopoly that the US government stands behind needs to be disolved. We all live in the lie that we must be hooked up to a money making electrical company. The technology exists to produce free electricity however it is supressed due to the fact that no matter the state of the economy, the government has constant income thru taxation of the power companieswhich actualy comes from its customers. The government talks about producing jobs, a cleaner environment, renewable energy yet will not take the steps to disolve this monopoly to allow all of this to begin. The technology has existed since before the great depression, and financed but a man named J.P. Morgan (I'm sure that rings a bell) who pulled the plug on the project when he learned it could not be metered and profited from. (earth4greenenergy.com/) The job potential this product holds would be incredible with manufacturing, instalation, and service however the power companies would lose a portion of their profits.
