In high school, had to read Pearl Buck's The Good Earth, who's theme was that the Chinese would revolt periodically when "the rich get too rich." In modern day America, the aristocrates have all the money....and want it all. A slogan for OccupyWallStreet could be....when the rich get too rich....

It is not so much the level of wealth,. it is much more the abuse of power,. often directly rising from the wealth,. however not in all cases.

No single slogan will do,. . to each, .

Yes, you have to be careful about denigrating 'the rich'. It smacks of socialism. Can we agree that the corporations have too much power and are destroying the middle (and lower) classes?

the rich have every right to be rich, but when they take money and golden parachutes at the expense of sending jobs overseas and/or cutting jobs or getting unfair tax breaks, then the rich aren't just climbing the ladder, they're stepping on the other climbers and pushing them off. and if they fail due to bad practices, they use our money to bail them out because they've intertwined themselves with too many working class citizens. and then congress can't do anything because their in bed with those rich, so they're intertwined as well.

that is not freedom. the rich can be rich, but the rich need to play fair.

What is the dollar limit at which i will become too rich for you? I want to know when i can stop working and start protesting. Seriously, be specific, and justify the number.

It's not about how much money one makes. No one should have any objection to anyone who through honest endeavors achieves great wealth. That is the American dream. But, the war our nation is waging now is against all of the crooked achievers who with their influence and money do whatever they like by corruption and fraudulent means to obtain outrageously undeserved wealth and influence. This warfare is not about the poor and lower classes, it is about the attempted demise of the middle class! Talk about welfare fraud and deadbeats all you want but the fact is that the Republican oligarchy is plutocrating a little too much.

So, you're saying that none of the rich people have earned their wealth? They're all crooked? That's absurd.

Also, the "Republican oligarchy" voted for Obama in 2008. Look it up.

I’m afraid that class warfare is inevitable. This plutocratic society has gone too far in exploiting and taking unfair advantage of the middle class and the middle class are finally getting wise to it.

Class warfare is only as inevitable as our leaders allow it to be. Hows that hope n change working 4 u?
